In 1993 we set out to find a hunting dog for the man of the house & a family dog good with the children. We found our first Labrador Retriever "Stormie Weather Vacation."
It may sound like a strange name for a dog, but as it turned out to be for us, the start of our great adventure in our love of the Labrador Retriever Breed of Dogs.
We opened our Grooming Salon in 1999 after moving 2,8 miles from where we started out in Antioch. We came across this piece of property when it had only 2 little houses on it. Ron worked very hard to rehab 1 house & turned it into the current Grooming Salon, Check-In Station & Office for our current facility. He also has built from scratch our barn, all of the inside of our Boarding Kennel, all of our Labrador Kennel and all of our out buildings.
Our Boarding Facility was opened the next year in 2000, and is a heated & air conditioned, fully insulated building. The inside and outside floors are all cement, which by law they have to be. They have an epoxy finish on them, so none of the dogs fluids soaks up into the floors. The rest of the kennel is stainless steel, chain link and the
walls are a solid polypropylene so none of any of the surfaces in the kennel can soak up any fluids, which keep your pets cleaner, the kennel cleaner and also easier for us to keep cleaner.
